Campbell River Family Services Crisis Line is a phone service
for the general public. We offer emotional
support and community resource information. A caring listener
answers the phone lines 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Our volunteer group, men and women from varied ethnic, social, cultural and life experienced backgrounds, receive initial training and on-going support. It is our belief and hope that their experience as volunteers will enhance their own lives with community resource information and communication skills.
Calls to the Crisis Line, for the most part, are serious in nature. Some presenting issues include suicide, depression, substance abuse, violence, children at risk, financial hardships, relationships, and health concerns. Other calls are for information, provided from our Resource list.
